The development of living thinking, feeling and will are fundamental activities for the formation of the child. According to the curriculum proposed by Rudolf Steiner for the elementary school, narratives told from the earliest age can provide maturity, since they link the student to their inner experiences, as well as with the social and cultural environment, supporting an education for freedom. In this sense, this article is presented with the purpose of bringing reflections on the contributions of Nordic Mythology narratives for the student’s education process, specifically for the ten-year-old child. By means of bibliographic research, based on the studies of Rudolf Steiner and possible dialogues with other authors, the benefits of the art of narrating for children will be presented, as well as the archetypical images of humanity present in the mythical narratives. The process of individualization of the ten-year-old child will be analyzed through a fragment of Nordic Mythology.
