Abstract

This article summarizes the research process of the thesis Understanding the fundamentals of teaching form drawing from the Waldorf-Steiner pedagogy and the recognition of indigenous iconography, submitted for a master's degree in Education at the National Pedagogical University. This research has a clear framework in Waldorf-Steiner pedagogy, where new arts that respond to the needs of the present day, such as eurythmy and form design, are shared in its educational spaces, as Rudolf Kutzli recalls.

Form design is the art of movement where the line is the protagonist, and it takes as its visual heritage the iconography of indigenous or ancient peoples. In the research sweep, it was possible to address as much bibliography as possible over 100 years, and then analyze its practice in Waldorf schools today by engaging in a dialogue between books and teachers with extensive experience.
