uma leitura psicológica da obra Parsifal

Abstract

In this work we present a psychological reading of the work Parsifal, by Wolfram von Eschenbach, with the aim of understanding and elucidating the main character’s encounters, Parsifal, as a possibility of encounter of the human soul with its own challenges prescribed in its destiny. To achieve this endeavor, we set out of the anthroposophical perspective concerning the concepts about fairy tales, and then we approach Parsifal’s meetings with Sigune, Cundrie, Trevizent and Anfortas. Based on bibliographical research and qualitative interpretative analysis, we began our work by observing and discussing research and studies related to Wolfram’s work, bringing points of analysis from different perspectives. Next, we present Rudolf Steiner’s anthroposophical perspective as a possibility of interpretation and reflection of history, given its relevance in this approach. Through discussions and reflections, we defined existential crisis as a crucial element in Parsifal’s drama, with Cundrie emerging as the facilitator of this crisis. Thus, we highlight how this profound work can provide insights into the modern human’s life drama, revealing that Cundrie is particularly relevant for understanding the development of freedom and the expansion of consciousness. We conclude that a new interpretive possibility could enhance scientific contributions towards the analysis of this work.
