Abstract

This article addresses the importance of the vital warm-up process, from the psychic point of view, in the first year of elementary school, in the light of anthroposophy. What kind of environment does the class teacher need to create to keep the flame of enthusiasm alive and to channel the student’s interest towards the work to be done in the transition to elementary school? According to Rudolf Steiner, founder of Anthroposophy, there are 7 vital processes: breathing, heating, nutrition, secretion, maintenance, growth, and reproduction. These 7 processes keep us alive in this physical body we inhabit. Furthermore, these processes determine how I relate to other human beings and how I relate to the world around me. It is difficult to say exactly when a process starts and when it ends, because the seven processes are interconnected and the good functioning of one depends on the other. The learning process is directly related to the vital processes, as well as the pedagogical practice and the inner preparation of the teacher. This work was based mainly on bibliographic review resear-ch on selected works written by Rudolf Steiner.
